Date: Mon Oct 24 21:27:31 2011 I have started to do a painting of StCuthbert while attending Dalmeny Art Group in the hall there, at St Cuthbert's Parish Church, Main St., Dalmeny Village near Edinburgh. I have turned to your website for some extra inspiration & now feel much healthier. The initial idea came from visiting Northumberland & Holy Island in 2009.

Date: Mon Aug 22 07:29:01 2011 Visited St Cuthberts for first time last year on 24/8/11 and was made REALLY welcome. Hope to come again when I'm in Edinburgh this week. Am interested to explore Celtic Christianity more and like the emphasis of St Cuthbert's - especially the soul space idea for the 24th. Hope to come then, as it's a special day for me - the Anniversary of a Friend's passing - Roger Baddock - RIP. Best wishes to all - Veronica X

Date: Mon Jul 18 15:23:45 2011 Your website is excellent and very interesting to read. I live in the North West of England and am researching my ancestry. I have just discovered that a distant relative of mine, Edward Johnson born in 1693, is buried in your churchyard, without doubt, one of the best websites. Thank you. Miss Judith Johnson.

Date: Sat May 7 10:55:58 2011 Greetings from Austraia.
I have found that my Great Great Grandparents, Thomas White (from South Shields) and Ann Arthur were married in this church on 27th August 1825.
I hope to visit when I am next in Edinburgh
Otherwise, greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if my grandfather and his family
attended your church back in the late 1800's and early 1900's. His name was
Andrew Richmond and he was born on October 14, 1895 in Dunfermline, Fife,
Scotland. His parents were James and Helen (Cook) Richmond. Thank you so much
for any information you can tell me. I live in Michigan, USA. Sheryll

I'm planning to visit Edinburgh next month and St. Cuthberts is my first stop.
My GGG-Grandfather, Adam Wightman, is one of the children listed at St.
Cuthbert's Charity Workhouse in 1841. Minister John Paul of St. Cuthberts
married Adam and Alison Frater in 1859 at 13 George Square. I also found
Alison's parents were members of the parish. I'm hoping that Adam and Alison
are buried at St. Cuthbert's, so I can pay my respect to them. Their daughter
left for California in 1888 to forge a better life. I'm thankful for her
courage; otherwise I wouldn't be here. I'm looking forward to getting to know
my scottish roots!
