My wife and I have just spent a wonderful four days in Edinburgh staying in a
hotel on Princes Street overlooking the gardens. Having traced my Campbell
ancestors back to Edinburgh in the 1580's and to be able to walk the areas they
would have known was great. To wander around the Church they we all christened
and married at was a bonus. We found the grave yard very atmospheric in the
late afternoons as the sun was setting. We hope to visit again next year to
continue our exploration of the Old Town

I live outside Las Vegas, NV in the USA. I found your website because I was
specifically looking for it. I knew I wanted to visit your church before I left
home on my trip to Europe for the first time. I am planning on visiting your
church and attending a service. Hopefully, you won't hold it against me that I
am a Baptist. I sincerely look forward to tomorrow and my visit.

We arrived after 4 PM on Aug. 5 (our only day in Edinburgh) and encountered one
of your men outside emptying the coffee pot. We inquired if we might see inside
the church. He was so very kind to allow us to come in and enjoy the beauty of
your church. Thank you so much for the opportunity

Hello, It's lovely to visit your website. I was at a beautiful christening
service at St Cuthbert's many years ago with my Auntie Isa. I was on holiday
and staying with she and my Uncle Peter out at Corstorphine. Each Sunday my
auntie would take me to a different church in Edinburgh. I must tell you that
your church has always seemed very special to me-even after all these years.
Thank you for allowing me to share that with you.

I found your site while 'googling' for inspiration for a sermon on healing. I
am an assistant priest at another St Cuthbert's in the Anglican church. Your
teaching on healing I found inspirational and a real blessing. May God bless
you in all that you do. Love in Christ Jenny

I recently learned that my great-grandmother, Margaret Wilhemina Calder, was
baptised in St. Cuthbert's in Edinburgh in 1843, I believe. How nice to know
that it is still there. I may be able to visit next year when I'll be in
Edinburgh for the Clan Gathering. Margaret Elaine MacQuarrie, Victoria, BC,

Hello. Have just spent a full day at Register House where I found that a number
of my ancestors were married or buried at St Cuthberts (parish). As the
majority mainly lived in the Canongate area I presume that this church is the
one in question. As I get up to Edinburgh once a year (still have relatives
there) I hope to visit your churchyard. Do you have MIs? The names in question
are Mackay and Mortimer. Hope you see you next year.

Did the Parish of St Cuthberts include North Leith in the late 18th or early
19th centuries and if so I have ancestors who were batized, married or even
buried there. I was so glad to see that St Cuthbert's still exist as someone
said it didn't. Anyhow I found it a great website.
