I visited Edinburgh for a few days 2 years ago. I happened to be on a guided
tour so unfortunately could not see your beautiful church. I would love to see
more exterior photos of St. Cuthbert's. Edinburgh is always going to be a place
in my heart and I hope to go there again in the future. Congratulations on such
a wonderful church. With warmest regards from America, Sg

My GGGGG grandparent's were married in your church and as I am looking into my
family history it is wonderful to have an insight into not only where they were
married but also have Photos and details of the religion itself. I am trying to
talk my husband into travelling to Scotland from Australia in a few years for
our 20th wedding anniversary. I wonder about the possibility of renewing our
vows in the Church? Thank you again

We attend St Cuthbert's Anglican Church in Darlington, Western Australia. You
have an excellent site. Very interesting to read about your activities and
outreach. Unfortunately, we missed your church on our visit to Edinburgh last
year.

Thanks to a incredible individual and member of St. Cuthbert's, I am able to
view a your web site. My thanks to Douglas for the tour. You definitely have an
angel in your midst. Maybe, one of these days, I will have an opportunity to
visit your church and beautiful country.

I have just finished reading the excellent work by Harry Reid, "Outside
Verdict" in which he discusses the challenges, and opportunities, which
the Kirk will face in the future. He made mention of his visit to St Cuthbert's
during his travels around Scotland and commented on how he had enjoyed his
visit and particularly the preaching of Peter Neilson. I therefore thought it
might be worth checking out your website which I have found to be interesting,
informative and professionally maintained. I have been thinking seriously about
coming back to the Kirk (having been brought up very much in its shadow) and
was looking for somewhere in Edinburgh to do so. Having read Harry Reid's
optimistic and in many ways uplifting commentary on the Kirk and having looked
at your website I may very well find myself darkening your doors soon! Please
accept my best wishes for all that you wish to achieve in your church and in
the wider community.

My son Charles has been asked to find out about family trees and what it means.
This has given us the opportunity to stop our busy lives and really look into
where we actually come from and on reflection it means a lot. It seems my
mother's family in the surname of Watt date back to so far to 1850, the
marriage of Robert Watt to Elizabeth Brown, but not sure prior to this of whom
his parents were, or where he was born. Also in which part of Edinburgh is St
Cuthbert's because we cannot find it on a map, did the birthplace St Cuthbert's
change to either Newington or St. Andrews or are they close by? Any information
will be appreciated, and would hopefully like to visit with my mother to see
our ancestors birthplace. Thank-you Donna Ratcliff

Was looking for any information on St Cuthbert's Edinburgh that I could find.
My GG grandparents David Legg and Elspet Stevenson married there in 1853 and
now I've found that her sister Janet lived in the area with her husband John
Harrison and had their children christened at St Cuthbert's. Besides that I
don't think I've ever found a site with so much varied and helpful information.

I enjoyed your web site. My great-grandfather David Partington McAdam married
Janet McClellan 21 March 1831 at St.Cuthbert's. Though later constructed I was
pleased to find your site.

Enjoyed your site very much. I was attracted to your church as four of my g g
grandparents William Lumsden, Helen Joyce, John Galloway, and Janet Frazer were
married there in the 1840's. Their children were also married in your church
before moving to Australia in the 1880's. Anyone sharing these ancestors can
