Cuthbert probably set up a Celtic church on our site in the late 7th century and now, 1300 years later, there is renewed fascination with Celtic Christianity and Celtic spirituality.

That Celtic lens helps us look at God, life, church and mission in new ways. We celebrate the Celtic way of seeing God in the everyday, interested in work and leisure.

We are inspired by the Celtic wanderlust to make the journey to meet people rather than wait for them to come to us. We like to think that we are learning more of the Celtic emphasis on hospitality in making the stranger feel at home.
